About me

I started my Career way back in the early 90s when I was trained to be a pub & restaurant manager for a national company, I eventually branched out into hotel management and spent the bulk of my career in this field, I took redundancy in 2020 and needed to decide what I wanted to do work wise to move forward.

I had always been interested in training, coaching and mentoring and these where part of my day-to-day job and are also skills that lend themselves to this industry so set about re training to become a driving instructor. 

As a Driving Instructor I aim to create a non-hierarchical relationship with pupils and believe that the most powerful way of learning is for you to take control of your learning at a pace that suits you. I use a mix of Kinaesthetic, Auditory, and visual systems to aid your learning when in the car. Following this structured method of learning to drive enables you to have more driving time during your lessons and less time is spent at the side of the road discussing driving.

I firmly believe that my job as a driving trainer is to make you a safe driver for life and not just to pass a driving test.
